Soremag covers and refurbishes your rollers and wheels, and manufactures your custom cast polyurethane parts — from material selection to precision finishing.
Technical reps in the field, a chemical engineer and lab validation: we validate the right material for your application instead of guessing at it.
Rush service and pickup in Laval and Montreal · anywhere in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
We think like engineers, not like a catalog: we start from your real constraint — abrasion, load, chemistry, speed, temperature — to pick the material and the hardness that will hold up. Covering, manufacturing, machining and balancing: all under one roof, in Quebec and eastern Canada.

Rubber or polyurethane: we give your rollers and wheels back their grip, precision and service life, with a full refurbishment or simply a surface regrind, in house. Custom covering hardness, matched finish and grooving, balancing and reverse engineering even without a drawing.

Custom made from your drawing or your sample, metal inserts as needed, hardness and dimensions verified. Built to take wear, impact and load. Also available in antistatic, FDA and several other formulations.

When you need grip, cushioning, or resistance to oil, steam or ozone: we pick the right family (nitrile, EPDM, silicone…) and the Shore A hardness that fits your constraint.
Learn more →Hot cast, from soft to very hard (Shore A→D): the answer to severe abrasion, high loads and cutting, where rubber wears out too fast.
Learn more →Drive and guide wheels in rubber or polyurethane: steady traction, no marking of the load, hardness chosen for contact pressure and speed.
Learn more →Precision grinding: diameter, crown, concentricity and surface finish (Ra/Rz) held to tolerance — the finish often counts as much as the material.
Learn more →Spiral, longitudinal or diamond grooves: channel water and air away, increase traction and break the air cushion that causes slippage at high speed.
Learn more →New cores (steel, aluminum) and repair of bearing journals, cores and shafts — welding, machining and return to original tolerances, without replacing the whole part.
Learn more →From material selection to the part back in service — covering, manufacturing, repair, grinding and balancing, it is all controlled in house.
The optimal compound is validated in the lab against temperature, abrasion, chemicals and speed.
Dimensions and hardness to the required tolerance, with nothing subcontracted.
Covering built from the old roller or from a sample, even without a drawing.
Dynamic balancing of rollers to eliminate vibration and marking at high speed.
Diagnosis and intervention on your line, delivery and pickup service to cut your downtime.
Custom crates to protect your rollers in transit, on the way out and on the way back.
Serving industry across eastern Canada.
Lifting to 10 metric tons, machining up to Ø 42 in. × 240 in., Ø 68 in. × 175 in. or Ø 76 in. × 36 in. — few shops in Canada have that capacity under one roof. State-of-the-art CNC equipment built for precision grinding and grooving of rubber and polyurethane, networked in real time: every part is tracked from receiving to shipping. And we like a challenge — if your project goes beyond our current capacity, we'll tool up for it.
Seven steps in a continuous loop, from identifying the need to improvement — every project feeds the next one.
Understand the application and the real need.
Review of the part and validation of the compound.
Manufacturing procedure established.
Technicians trained on the procedure.
Controlled manufacturing and covering.
Documentation and tracking of every part.
Inspection, customer feedback and adjustments.
From plastic film to metal processing, from food processing to mining: Soremag matches the material, the hardness and the finish to the constraints of each sector. Our rollers, wheels and cast parts serve manufacturers in Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes.

Concrete results, in our customers' own words. Genuine testimonials; for confidentiality, our customers remain anonymous.
“A Soremag technical rep came on site and took the time to really understand our application. After talking with our operator, he recommended changing the material on the press roller of our sander: we went from nitrile to a new special SBR and natural rubber compound, with the hardness lowered to 80 Shore A. The service life of our roller doubled — the return on investment was instant. (translated from French)”
“Our new production machine was marking our coils. The machine builder had added a tapered rubber roller, but that part had a very short service life — a week, sometimes less. In a single visit, the Soremag rep proposed a polyurethane covering matched to our speed and our load. The result is impressive: installed three months ago, the roller still looks new. (translated from French)”
“We assemble aircraft, and while handling parts we would sometimes damage the floor tile. After a visit from Soremag, several solutions were proposed. Two weeks later, Soremag had built a mold and a cast polyurethane part that protects the parts being handled and prevents steel-on-steel contact. Our problem was solved — and we have since applied the same type of part in twelve other spots on our assembly line. (translated from French)”

Rubber excels at grip and at chemical and heat resistance; polyurethane holds up better to abrasion, load and cutting. Every application is different — and your equipment itself changes over time. So we analyze each case in house and give you one or more suitable options.
Yes. Since 1990, we have developed many polyurethane formulations in house, we use the best raw materials and we run equipment we keep current.
Yes. Through reverse engineering, we reproduce the dimensions and the hardness from your old roller, from a part or from a sample, even without a drawing. Our customers' equipment has often been modified, or production speeds have changed: even with an original drawing, it is common to adapt the material — and sometimes the shape of the roller — to the new requirements of the equipment.
Hardness depends on the load, the speed, the pressure applied, the deflection, the transfer rate in some cases, and the grip you are after. We recommend and apply the exact covering hardness suited to your process.
Based in Laval, we actively serve Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, with rush and pickup service in Laval and Montreal. Some of our products are also recognized in Europe and the United States.
