Designed and built for your pallet wrappers (stretch wrappers): uniform film stretch, more stable loads, fewer consumables. OEM replacement or refurbishment, in rubber or polyurethane.
The pre-stretch roller is a critical component in any industrial packaging process. At Soremag, we design and build custom rollers that combine durability, performance and precision: calibrated surface, adjusted durometer and durable compounds to get the most out of your wrapping machines.
The result: reduced film consumption, improved load security and longer service life for your equipment. We build new rollers, we replace OEM parts and we refurbish your existing rollers.
A key component of pallet wrapping machines: it stretches the plastic film before it is applied to the load, so that each layer clings properly to the pallet and to the products.

Covered pre-stretch rollers, with durometer and texture matched to the film.
Pre-stretching is a precise mechanical operation that takes place in the film carriage, using a two-roller system: the
This speed difference stretches the film in a controlled way before it wraps the load. It activates the film's “elastic memory,” improves its strength and reduces material consumption. The level is

We go beyond standard supply: complete fabrication, customization and adaptation to your equipment.
We build both components: the primary (feed) roller and secondary (pre-stretch) roller. The balance between the two is critical to optimal performance.
We adjust the durometer to optimize grip while minimizing wear and film marking.
Smooth, knurled or fluted (grooved), depending on your film type and the level of grip you need.
Any length and diameter, for standard and special equipment — from a sample or from drawings.
Oil resistant formulations and formulations for high performance applications, based on your plant conditions.
We also modify rollers for specific equipment such as stretch netting.

Automated packaging lines: stretch wrappers, conveyors and pre-stretch rollers in service.
Our pre-stretch rollers are used in many sectors where palletized loads are secured and shipped.
Securing finished goods for shipping; protection against moisture and dust.
Load stabilization for transport; packaging cost optimization at large scale.
Uniform wrapping for storage and shipping; less damage during handling.
We select the material, the durometer and the texture based on your film and your machine — no guesswork.
| Choix | Ce qu'on ajuste | Pourquoi |
|---|---|---|

A roller — or a primary/secondary roller pair — that mechanically pre-stretches the film between two rollers turning at different speeds, before it is applied to the load. The result: less film used and a more stable load.
The secondary roller turns faster than the primary; the film is pulled between the two and elongates according to the speed ratio (commonly 150% to 300%, up to 400% depending on the film and the carriage, most often between 200% and 250%).
Mostly
Yes: the common standard sizes, and fabrication to specification (diameter, length, bore, grooving, texture, cover durometer and target ratio).
Less film used, fewer breaks, better tension control and more stable loads — that is the whole point of pre-stretching before application.
We adjust the cover durometer, the surface roughness and the compound to the film and the use: enough grip to drive the film without marking it, and good wear resistance.
You can, but you have to respect the drive ratio and the relative grip between the two rollers to keep the pre-stretch level and avoid slipping.
We aim for functional equivalence (or better): same dimensions and same performance from the pre-stretch system. We can also refurbish your existing roller.
Check alignment, surface cleanliness, tension and bearing condition; replace worn covers to maintain stretch quality. We can advise you on this.
We build and we refurbish to minimize line downtime, with faster options depending on shop load. See emergency & logistics.
